1. Introduction:

1. The Egyptian government, represented by the Ministry of Environment, has obtained funding from the World Bank for the national project “Air Pollution and Climate Change Management in Greater Cairo” to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve sustainable development goals, including reducing air pollution and combating climate change. The main objective of this project is to reduce air emissions from vital sectors to improve air quality in Greater Cairo, and reduce carbon dioxide and short-lived climate pollutants (SLCP), which include “black carbon” and methane. The project consists of five components with the aim of reducing air pollutants and greenhouse gases from open burning of solid waste and vehicle emissions. The project is being implemented in the geographical area of ​​Greater Cairo, which covers Cairo Governorate and urban areas in Giza Governorate and Qalyubia Governorate.

2. The project management invites your company to submit a quotation for the purchase of calibration equipment for Black Carbon Aethalometers (12 Units of Reference Flowmeters + 12 Units of Neutral Density (ND) Optical Standard Kits (for the Aerosol-Magie Scientific AE33 Aethalometer), according to the technical specifications contained in the technical appendix.

3. A price quote must be submitted for the items included in this invitation. The price quotes will be evaluated, and the contract will be awarded to the company that offers the lowest evaluated price and the best terms for the total offer.

4. Please be aware that GCCC reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or quotation, cancel the bidding process, and reject all bids at any time before awarding the contract without providing specific reasons.

5. Your quotation must be submitted in both hard and/or soft copies in accordance with the required form (a quotation request to be delivered by hand or courier to the project headquarters, 15 S. Tawfiq Tower – Fustat – Old Cairo – Cairo).

6. Your offer must be submitted in English and/or Arabic, and must be signed and stamped with the company’s seal on each page.

7. In addition to sending the company’s legal documents, including but not limited to (- A copy of the recent commercial register – A copy of the tax card – A copy of the value-added tax registration – Registration in the electronic invoice – The latest tax declaration – What indicates the payment of insurance – Certificate of irregular employment). For foreign companies, please include their legal papers with their offer.

8. The deadline for sending price offers to the mentioned email or by hand at the project headquarters is May 18th 2026.

9. The validity period of your offer shall be no less than one (1) month from the closing date for submission of offers, i.e., until June 18th,2026.

Quotations received after the entry or closing time will be rejected. If the closing time for submission is a holiday, the weekend will be final to the same time on the next business day. He shall prohibit the extension of the closing time for submission of design requests at any time without incurring any liability towards the submission of quotations.
